DT rejects Vivendi intrepretation of Austrian court ruling

20 Oct 2006

Deutsche Telekom (DT) yesterday rejected Vivendi’s interpretation of a ruling by the Vienna Court of Appeals in a dispute over the ownership of Polish cellco PTC. The German giant said that the court had not – as originally claimed by Vivendi – confirmed Vivendi’s joint venture ownership with Polish conglomerate Elektrim of 48% of PTC. DT reiterated that it believes it owns 98% of the operator. The comments are the latest in a long-running saga that has seen DT and Vivendi issue multiple law suits against each other in Austrian and Polish courts.
