MTS-Uzbekistan passes million milestone

According to Russian-owned cellco MTS-Uzbekistan (formerly known as Uzdunrobita), at the end of September it had 1.09 million subscribers, making it the first wireless operator in the country to surpass the million mark. MTS said its Uzbek subsidiary recorded 9.4% growth in its customer base in the month of September alone.
