Private equity group Cevian Capital has confirmed that it has bought 70 million shares or around 1.6% of Swedish telecoms group TeliaSonera. It now wants to sit down with management and other shareholders to discuss its ‘view’ of the company, it told AFX News. ‘We are a shareholder oriented fund, and we want to develop TeliaSonera and engage ourselves. TeliaSonera has very good development potential,’ Lars Förberg, one of Cevian’s two founding partners said.
