Maxis contracts Lucent for NGN gateway solutions

Malaysian telco Maxis Communications has contracted Lucent Technologies to deploy its AnyMedia Line Access Gateway (LAG) solutions as part of its migration to an all IP next generation network. Lucent will replace Maxis’ existing legacy access systems with its AnyMedia LAG 1900 and 4300 solutions, which support narrowband as well as broadband and leased line services in a single system. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
