Five companies have registered their interest in participating in a state-sponsored project to expand broadband coverage in Greece’s peripheral regions, reports Reporter.gr. Among the interested parties are ForthNet, Tellas, HOL, Cyta and Teledom. The project is valued at EUR210 million and is part of a wider government plan to increase the country’s broadband penetration rate. The first implementation phase requires the participation of at least three operators.
