On Telecoms to invest EUR150 million in infrastructure

Greek start-up alternative fixed line operator On Innovative Infrastructure (On Telecoms) plans to invest EUR150 million in 2007-08 to roll out networks covering Athens and Thessaloniki, according to Reporter.gr. The company’s long term business plan targets a total investment of EUR500 million. On Telecoms, backed by Netherlands-based On Network, has scheduled a launch of telephony services in early 2007. According to the company, it has already installed 95,000km of fibre optic cabling in Athens.
