Kuwait’s largest cellular operator MTC says it does not intend to renew its partnership agreement with Vodafone once it expires next year. Under the deal, signed in 2003, MTC has offered mobile services under the MTC-Vodafone brand and has co-developed products with its UK-based partner. MTC’s managing director Saad Al-Barrak told the Kuwait News Agency that the deal will not be renewed and that MTC intends to become a major player in the international wireless market, with expansions into Europe and Asia.
