Telecom Namibia cuts call costs

Telecom Namibia is introducing a new tariff structure on 1 October which includes reductions in international call rates and the introduction of per-second billing, reports allAfrica.com. Tariffs for fixed-to-fixed calls to Angola, South Africa and neighbouring countries will be reduced on average by 20%, 6% and 5% respectively, both peak and off-peak. The cost of international calls to most fixed line numbers outside Southern Africa will be lowered by an average of 15%. Fixed-to-mobile call charges to most countries will also be reduced by 15%, with the exception of Angola, South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, which will not change.
