26 Sep 2006

State-run fixed line operator Telekom Slovenije has announced that it will list shares on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on 2 October, in line with its previously announced privatisation plan. Under the plan adopted by the government in May, the telco will be privatised within three years, with the state keeping a 25% stake plus a golden share. Independent finance expert Matej Tomazin commented that each Telekom share currently commands a price of over SIT70,000 (EUR291) on the grey market.
