Volga Telecom profits up 39%

Russian telco Volga Telecom has reported a 39% increase in first half net profits to RUB1.52 billion (USD56.6 million). Sales were up 1.8% to RUB11.54 billion (USD430 million), while EBITDA rose 21% to RUB4.54 billion (USD170 million). Volga Telecom is part of the Russian government’s telecoms holding firm Svyazinvest and operates in eleven regions: Kirov, Nizhniy Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Uliyanovsk, and the Republics of Chuvashia, Mariy EI, Mordovia and Udmurtia.
