TELUS beats Bell Canada to lucrative public contract

TELUS Corp has won a CAD140 million (USD125 million), five-year contract from the government of Ontario, beating rivals Bell Canada and EDS Canada in a tender. Under the contract TELUS will manage an IP data network linking over 1,500 government locations across the province, and the telco hopes to expand the system to cover further locations and provide IP voice services in the future.
