Iraqna licence extended again

Egypt’s Orascom Telecom has announced that its Iraqna operation has been granted a three-month extension to its GSM licence in Iraq, which will now expire on 31 December 2006. Iraqna has been operating in the country since October 2003 and by the end of June 2006 had 2.3 million active subscribers.
