European wholesale telecoms provider Tiscali International Network (TINet) has announced that it has added a new point of presence (PoP) in Warsaw, to meet the growing demand for broadband access and IP and MPLS connectivity in the region. TINet already has an extensive European and North American footprint with over 85 IP/MPLS PoPs, and recently added a presence in Hong Kong. According to a company press release TINet’s end to end 10Gbps infrastructure is designed to meet the growing demand for IP and MPLS connectivity in Poland. TINet already has PoPs in Czech Republic and Slovakia and serves other Eastern European markets such as Ukraine and Bulgaria through its international gateway locations in Frankfurt and Stockholm. ‘We believe that traffic in Eastern Europe is growing well over 100% per year’ commented Paolo Susnik, Chief Executive Officer at TINet. ‘For Eastern Europe, high quality reliable connectivity to the global network is crucial as their economies are now linked with the rest of the world.’
