Maxis to be first with HSDPA

Malaysia’s Maxis Communications says it will launch the country’s first commercial HSDPA services in the Klang Valley and Penang on 26 September. It says packages, pricing and coverage details will be revealed at the formal launch of the service, christened Maxis Broadband. In August Maxis announced it had signed up 150,000 users to its 3G service five months ahead of target.
