ENRE gives utilities the power to talk

13 Sep 2006

Argentine utilities regulator ENRE has given permission to electricity providers Edanor and Transba to enter the voice telephony and internet markets by offering services over power cables, reports BNamericas quoting local newspaper El Cronista. ENRE’s decision allows national distributor Edenor and Buenos Aries firm Transba to rent their infrastructure to telecoms operators or to offer services themselves in conjunction with third parties.
