Thirteen companies in Spain now have a licence to launch mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services, according to Cinco Dias. In June, Tele2 and cable giant Grupo Corporativo ONO both announced they were confident of becoming Spain’s first MVNO before the end of the year. Other licensees include Telecor (the firm which runs department store El Corte Ingles), French hypermarket chain Carrefour, BT Group of the UK and Spanish companies Ya.com, Jazztel, Grupalia Internet and Meflur Comunicarte.
