Telmex buys Colombian cableco Superview

Telmex has bought Colombian cable television operator Superview for USD40 million, equivalent to USD270 for each of cableco’s 150,000 customers. Superview currently offers residents of Bogota television, internet access and remote vigilance services for homes. Telmex acquired a licence to operate local telephony services from the Colombian regulators earlier this year, and recently announced ambitions to offer triple play services over a single broadband connection.
