Golden acquires Kubtelecom

Russian fixed line operator Golden Telecom has acquired a controlling interest in Kubtelecom, which includes three telecom service providers operating in the Krasnodarsky region of Russia. Kubtelecom provides a range of communications services to businesses, other operators and residential users, including broadband internet access, wireless CDMA access, digital switched voice and data and cable TV services. Kubtelecom operates fibre-optic and copper networks covering Krasnodar, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Temryuk, Gelendzhik and Timashevsk. The acquisition complements Golden Telecom’s branches in Krasnodar and Novorossyisk, and Sochi Telecom, its wholly owned regional service provider.
