Pacifictel, Alegro market fixed line service

Ecuadorian state-run fixed line operator Pacifictel and mobile operator Alegro PCS have formed an alliance to sell fixed telephony lines starting October 2006, reports BNamericas quoting local newspaper La Hora. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will sell fixed lines with the telephone included at USD270 with a tariff of USD0.1 per minute. Lines sold under the partnership will be available in all provinces where Pacifictel and Alegro currently operate.
