Partner Communications, Israel’s second largest mobile phone operator, said its second quarter net income jumped by 50.4% year-on-year, up to ILS174.2 million (USD39.4 million), on the back of steady sales. Revenues were up 9.8% to ILS1.37 billion and EBITDA rose 12.4% to ILS473.2 million. Partner ended June 2006 with 2.585 million subscribers, up 7.3% year-on-year, of which 165,000 were 3G users; UMTS subscribers accounted for the bulk of new additions. Blended monthly ARPU rose 0.8% to ILS158.3 and blended monthly MoU were up 3.6% to 306.7. Partner said it estimated that its customer market share remained steady at 32%.
