KDN gets more fibre

Kenya Data Networks says it plans to spend KES2 billion (USD30 million) on rolling out the first phase of its backbone network. The firm says the Nairobi-Mombasa stretch should be ready for commercial services next month. The complete nationwide fibre system will cost an estimated KES24 billion (USD330 million) according to a report from the East African Standard. Telkom Kenya recently unveiled its own fibre link between Nairobi and Mombasa.
