EMT takes HSDPA to the seaside

According to cellular-news.com, Estonia’s largest mobile operator Eesti Mobiiltelefon (EMT) has expanded its W-CDMA/HSDPA network to the coastal town of Pärnu, one of the Baltic state’s most popular tourist resorts. The cellco was the first in the country to launch HSDPA, having done so in the capital Talinn on 25 April before extending the service to Tartu on 2 June. EMT’s director of development and technology said that HSDPA handsets will be offered in the third quarter of 2006.
