Telkom lights link

7 Jul 2006

Telkom Kenya has switched on a new KES667 million fibre link between Mombasa and Nairobi, which it says will bring cheaper and more efficient services. The firm has also launched a new broadband wireless service under the name Kenstream, which offers digital leased lines for business customers in the two cities. Nairobi newspaper The East African Standard quotes Telkom Kenya chief operations officer, Dan Kibera, who says the launches form "part of a big picture” to improve communications links in the country.
