New safety service from Vodafone NZ

4 Jul 2006

Vodafone New Zealand has launched a free SMS tracking service which could help trace a missing person in the event of an abduction. Customers who may be walking home alone at night, for example, can send a message with details of their intended route, giving police a record of their movements in the event that they go missing. The service has been introduced following the abduction and murder of a German tourist.
