Ericsson to supply microwave transmission to Telenor worldwide

Norway’s Telenor has signed a two-year global frame agreement with Ericsson for the supply of microwave transmission solutions covering all its majority-owned subsidiaries worldwide. Under the contract, Ericsson will supply Telenor with its suite of MINI-LINK and Marconi-branded point-to-point microwave transmission products, including high-capacity radios, smart traffic nodes, and both long- and short-haul systems. The solution will enable Telenor to deliver cost-efficient coverage, high capacity for fixed and mobile broadband, and highly competitive ‘second mile’ backhaul solutions. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
