Cosmote launches HSDPA laptop card

Greek mobile operator Cosmote has launched an HSDPA-enabled mobile data card for laptop users, offering data download speeds of up to 1.8Mbps over its 3G/3.5G network. The Wireless Broadband Connect card is the first of its type available in Greece, offering Cosmote users internet access at speeds up to four times faster than 3G, as well as e-mail, intranet and corporate applications. Customers activating cards by 31 July will receive two months HSDPA service free of charge. HSDPA is initially available in the regions of Attica and Thessalonica, providing population coverage of approximately 40%.
