29 Jun 2006

Mobilkom Austria has begun selling the world’s first HSDPA 3.6Mbps hardware with the launch of its Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Modem. The cellco says its 3G networks are currently being used by 100,000 data-card subscribers and these customers now have access to maximum data speeds eight times faster than UMTS and twice as fast as the previous HSDPA network. Mobilkom says a 3.6Mbps data card will go on sale at the end of next month.
