Russian cellular operator Sky Link has taken full control of its subsidiary Personal Communications (PeCom), which operates in Moscow. Another Sky Link division, Moscow Cellular Communications, bought a 7.5% stake from equipment manufacturer Qualcomm. Sky Link already held a direct 92.5% stake in PeCom and Prime Tass reports that it now intends to consolidate its two subsidiaries, which claim around 170,000 subscribers in the Moscow Licensed Area. Sky Link operates CDMA2000 450MHz networks and has licences covering 65 of Russia’s 89 regions.
