Ericsson news flash: Swedish vendor to deliver EDGE for DiGi

Malaysian cellco DiGi Telecommunications has contracted Ericsson to upgrade parts of its GSM network with EDGE technology. Under the deal, Ericsson will also expand DiGi’s core nationwide network, giving the operator additional subscriber capacity. The upgrades are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
