Axtel extends to Celaya

20 Jun 2006

Mexican alternative fixed line operator Axtel has launched fixed-wireless services in Celaya in Guanajuato state. The telco says it will invest USD15 million in its networks and services in the city over the next five years. Axtel targets markets where there is little competition in the local telephony sector other than from fixed line incumbent Telmex; it plans to have networks in 30 to 40 cities by the end of 2007.
