Nokia deploys SFR’s HSDPA network

Nokia of Finland says it has rolled out a High Speed Downlink Packet Access, (HSDPA) network for French mobile operator SFR, a joint venture of Vivendi and the Vodafone Group. It added that SFR has now launched its HSDPA network in Paris and Southern France. Nokia delivered the HSDPA solution as part of a radio network contract extended in May 2006. According to a report in French daily Les Echos, SFR plans to cover 65% of the population with HSDPA by the end of the year.
