Vodafone to acquire remaining Arcor shares

13 Jun 2006

Vodafone looks set to buy out Arcor minority shareholders Deutsche Bahn and Deutsche Bank. The move would see the Newbury-based giant increase its ownership in the German telco from 74% to 100%. Sources close to the companies said that Vodafone would seek to integrate Arcor into its German mobile phone subsidiary. The 26% stake that Vodafone is seeking to acquire is thought to be worth around EUR600 million (USD760 million).
