Bahrain broadband gets cheaper

13 Jun 2006

Batelco, Bahrain’s dominant telecoms provider, has launched its much anticipated BHD10 (USD26.5) per month broadband internet package. The new low-end service offers speeds of 256kbps upstream/64kbps downstream and a 2GB threshold level. Batelco’s chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos said that an increasing number of people are demanding internet services at ‘value-for-money’ prices and that this package ‘perfectly meets that requirement’.
