Tele2 looks to undercut Telefónica with bundled voice & internet packages

7 Jun 2006

Alternative fixed line operator Tele2 Spain has launched two new double-play packages which it claims offers savings of up to 50% on the tariffs of incumbent Telefónica de España. The first, Linea Tele2 ADSL Mini, offers unlimited 1Mbps ADSL broadband access coupled with fixed line telephony for EUR32.90 (USD42.17) on a single bill, inclusive of line rental. Tele2 claims the equivalent services from Telefónica would cost EUR53.30 per month. The second product, Linea Tele2 Libre, costs EUR21.7 for line rental, metered internet access and flat-rate fixed line telephony; Tele2 says this is around 50% cheaper than its rival.
