Elion contracts Ericsson for next gen IP services

Estonia’s dominant telco Elion Enterprises has contracted Ericsson for the launch of next generation multimedia services. Ericsson is supplying its IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution to enable Elion to introduce advanced multimedia services, including IP and video telephony, instant messaging and IP Centrex services. The VoIP service, known as Hotifon, is being trialed until August, with users being offered free calls to Elion fixed lines.
