Free VoIP plan withdrawn

5 May 2006

Smart Telecom has hastily withdrawn a promotional offering of free VoIP telephony calls after being deluged with interest for the service. According to reports in the Sunday Business Post, the operator was overwhelmed with multiple applications from individuals attempting to register under multiple names to ‘bank’ the telco’s offer of free calls up to an hour. Excepting the problem of freeloaders trying to cash in on Smart Telecom’s offer, its Smart 076 service has been a success.
