TDC confirms year end predictions

TDC has confirmed its full year 2006 sales forecast of DKR48 billion (USD8.13 billion) and a EBITA of DKR13.4 billion, after posting year-on-year increases in the first quarter of the year. Sales in the three months ended 31 March 2006 rose to DKR11.54 billion from DKR11.01 billion in the same quarter of 2005, mainly as a result of increased sales in the TDC Solutions and TDC Mobile International business segments. EBITDA rose to DKR3.33 billion from DKR3.09 billion while the EBITDA margin rose to 28.8% from 28.0% the year before. TDC’s customer base totalled 15.5 million at the end of the first quarter 2006, up 14.2% increase on 1Q 2005, mainly as a result of increases at Talkline and Bite. The domestic customer base grew to 7.6 million, of which 2.6 million were wireless users. The Danish DSL customer base grew by 25.5% to 743,000.
