Canada’s second largest cellco Bell Mobility has expanded its 3G CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network to cover Ottawa, Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville, alongside a new roaming agreement with Aliant to provide its users with EV-DO services in Halifax. Bell’s 3G footprint already covered Vancouver, Whistler, Calgary, Edmonton, Brandon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Quebec City, Mont Tremblant and Montreal. Also this week it launched its second EV-DO handset, the Samsung SCP-7500. It rolled out its first 3G phone, the Samsung A920, alongside the BlackBerry 7130E and Kyocera Passport datacard, last November, when it switched on its 3G network in Toronto and Montreal.
