Telkom seals deal with union

Telkom South Africa has agreed a deal to end a strike by Communications Workers Union members. The telco will speed up planned wage rises for lower-paid staff according to a Reuters report. The strike by CWU workers, who account for 40% of Telkom’s non-management employees, had a severe impact on services and repairs to faulty lines.
