CommTel seals Nokia DSL deal with Soul

CommTel Network Solutions Australia, a value added re-seller of Nokia’s network solutions, has signed an agreement for the supply and implementation of Nokia broadband DSL solutions and related services to Australia’s Soul Group. CommTel will deploy the Nokia D500 IP Multi Service Access Node to provide internet access at speeds in excess of 24Mbps, as well as IPTV and VoIP services. Deliveries commenced in January 2006 and the system will be up and running before the end of the month.

Soul is the brand name for the SP Telemedia group of companies which includes Soul Pattinson Telecommunications, B Digital, Digiplus, Kooee and SPTCom (formerly Comindico). Soul owns and operates a fully converged video, voice and data IP-based network with distributed switching throughout regional Australia, proving services to over 500,000 customers.
