Seven operators form mobile roaming alliance

Seven leading Asian mobile operators – Far EasTone Telecommunications of Taiwan, Hutchison Essar Limited of India, Hutchison Telecom (Hong Kong), KT Freetel of South Korea, Japan’s NTT DoCoMo and StarHub Mobile of Singapore – have formed an international roaming cooperation and corporate services agreement to provide enhanced value added services to customers in the region. Under the cooperation, each operator will be expected to provide its services with the latest technology and global access to its customers and roamers in Asia. The agreement will serve 100 million cellular customers in eight countries and regions in Asia and the Pacific.
