Number portability expected in 2H2006

According to du, the UAE’s second wireless operator, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is expected to sanction mobile number portability in the second half of this year. This will allow wireless subscribers to switch from Etisalat to du while keeping the same telephone number and vice versa. Du is the brand name of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company.
