Telewest boosts broadband speeds

Telewest has completed speed upgrades to its broadband internet service, and is offering three new tiers of service to new customers. The former 512kbps starter tier (GBP17.99 per month), now has a downstream speed of 2Mbps and is known called ‘broadband’. The 1Mbps tier (GBP25 per month), called ‘broadband complete’, now has a downstream speed of 4Mbps. The cable operator’s top tier of service (GBP35 per month), ‘broadband elite’, has a downstream speed of 10Mbps, and has replaced the old 2Mbps and 4Mbps offerings.
