Telekom Slovenije’s ISP Siol achieves record profits, revenues

Slovenia’s largest ISP Siol generated EUR56.76 million in revenues in 2005, up 57% year-on-year, with profits rising by 33% in the same period to EUR1.67 million. Siol, a subsidiary of national telco Telekom Slovenije, reported that it increased its number of ADSL subscribers to 118,191 in 2005, 12,000 above its own target. Siol plans to expand a triple-play offering of broadband internet access, telephony and digital TV to help it reach its goal of 150,000 subscribers by the end of June 2006. It plans to offer subscribers high definition TV and video-on-demand services.
