Moroccan operator Maroc Télécom is considering launching as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in France and Belgium, according to Telecompaper citing Les Echos. The newspaper claims Maroc Télécom is in talks with French operator SFR looking to strike a deal to offer mobile services over its network. The two companies both share an investor in the form of Vivendi. Maroc Télécom is also reportedly considering a launch in Belgium, targeting expatriate Moroccans living there. A spokesman for Maroc Télécom said the Belgian launch is planned for the ‘coming months’.
