EMIX establishes London link

Emirates Internet Exchange (EMIX), a business unit of Etisalat, has established a fourth point of presence (POP) in London, boosting its link to Europe. The telco, which now has four POPs in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, New York and London, said it plans to establish additional POPs in Europe, Asia and the US in the near future. Its backbone capacity has surged to over 6.3Gbps, the highest of any service provider in the region, and EMIX aims to reach 9Gbps by the end of the year.
