Inukshuk Wireless, a joint venture between Bell Canada and Rogers Communications, has launched a new WiMAX broadband service and plans to expand it nationwide. The Sympatico High Speed Unplugged service – available in parts of Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, St. John’s and Whitehorse – is expected to cover two-thirds of Canada within three years. The 3Mbps service is priced at CAD60 per month and requires a CAD99 modem with a two-year service contract. A 512kbps per second option is available at CAD45 per month.
