QMax offers unlimited broadband for less than SGD30

Start-up internet service provider (ISP) QMax Communications, a joint venture between telecoms operator Qala Communications and Creative Technology, has launched a wireless broadband service offering downstream connection speeds of 256kbps for SGD22.95 (USD14.17) a month, making it the first Singaporean company to offer an unlimited service for less than SGD30. The new service, launched initially in Bukit Timah but soon to go island-wide, is targeted at those who baulk at the traditionally high cost of services.
