T-Mobile says no need to cut roaming charges

29 Mar 2006

T-Mobile Germany is standing its ground against the EU, claiming that the Commission’s plans to slash international roaming charges are unnecessary. T-Mobile said it has been repeatedly cutting the cost of roaming for customers over the last two years and further cuts are not needed. The EU says it is considering introducing a new law in June to force telcos to bring down roaming fees, although it has not revealed any further details.
