Telemar says no to Ola offer

Brazil’s largest telecoms operator Telemar has turned down a request from Colombian mobile operator Colombia Móvil (Ola) to take part in a tender to become its strategic partner. In a statement Telemar said it preferred to consolidate its position in its domestic market rather than expand into new ones. ‘This would not be an exceptionally good business opportunity for the company.’ Telemar president Ronaldo Labrudi said.
